DFG supports analysis of learning trajectories
In the framework of the DFG program “Education as a Lifelong Process” (SPP1646), Philipp Doebler (Faculty of Statistics) and Markus Gebhardt (Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences) will analyze longitudinal data from the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS). Specifically, NEPS data from children with high risk factors for unsuccessful learning outcomes will be examined, for example, children with special education needs or a migration background. Our main goal is to identify resilience factors that may protect some children with high risk. Test scores as well as other measures of learning outcomes will be considered. The DFG has supported this project for a duration of 24-months. Two Ph.D. student positions are included in the funding grant.
